I tried that once but only as a hobby. maybe you must use a special glue so that colors don't "swimm" anywhhere. There is a light glue for silk. References :
I'd try a different brand of Gutta, to start (I use waterbased ones myself, and had trouble with a certain brand at one time). Try not to load the area you're painting, perhaps the area is getting too wetted? and causing a problem with the gutta.
