Have you tried a steam iron? I used to iron my families jeans and steam worked really well. Not sure about the silk. They sell wrinkle releaser and starch in the grocery stores. References :
For jeans you need a really hot iron and steam. I found that a lot of the cheap irons do not get hot enough. I love my Sunbeam steam/spray/shot of steam iron. I'm not sure about silk though. References :
