I have had good luck cleaning dark colors with the oxygen-type cleaners. I get mine at a dollar store, thus avoiding the expensive brand that is advertised on TV. Since I wear a lot of navy blue, I frequently have to soak my darks in a solution of the oxygen-type cleaner to remove spots. I have never had it fade the color. References :

To ensure that it is done properly, why don't you have it dry cleaned. It should cost much.
