I had the same problem and I use to dryclean, but it's expensive. Then I met a girlie who liked ironing (naked) while I spritzed. Very steamy & much more fun too...!

Silk is best ironed when it's wet. Wet the shirt, and iron on the silk setting, if you have one, or with something cotton between the silk and your iron if you haven't. Iron the inside of the shirt, rather than the outside. Don't try to get it dry, you just let it hang afterwards.

Using the lowest setting & misting it with water, iron it inside out so the iron doesn't make it shiny.

There are a few things you can do…..

Firstly if it is very very creased, then put it on a hanger, and hang it in your bathroom when you are having a shower. the steam generated by the shower will loosen the creases a fair bit.

Then you use your iron on a medium heat, but make sure you iron on a tea towel, and not directly onto the silk.

This should solve the problem.

Your iron should have a silk setting on it, mine does. If not, cover the shirt with a pillow case and iron.

Put it on a hanger and just use the steam from the iron so it doesnt touch.
