Because silk is so delicate, I would recommend taking it to the dry cleaners.

Lestoil is the best stain remover. Just make sure that you rinse very well because the smell lasts for a long time.

Here is some information that I found for you …………

The first rule for effectively removing coffee stains is: Hurry, hurry, hurry! The quicker you can begin to work on the stain the better and some coffees are far more difficult to remove than others (I have found Starbucks coffee very difficult to wash out unless you attack the stain immediately).

The first thing I do is take off the shirt or dress and immediately run cool water through the stained area, or at the very least put it in a sink so it can begin to dissolve. You can also saturate a clean cloth with 7-Up or the standby club soda, and blot gently, but do NOT rub.

Another recommended soak for coffee stains is, believe it or not, milk. You can soak your garment in a little milk bath; even overnight if possible. You can also try using a baby wipe to dab at the stain.

Another natural remedy is hydrogen peroxide, but because it is a natural bleaching agent (it is used for this reason in hair dyes) you might want to use it on white fabrics only.

You can also wet a cloth with water, then apply baking soda and try gently rubbing this into the offending stain.

Another method I have tried is to apply Sunlight laundry bar soap (after I have rinsed the stain thoroughly with cold water), rubbing it in around the stain gently, then rinsing, applying the soap again, then rinsing, then applying liquid laundry detergent. This has taken out some coffee stains when I found nothing else would work on my garments.

Some people prefer stain remover sticks, while others find success by using spray stain removers.

Finally, for those who are feeling the most creative, beer can be used if it is poured directly on the stain. Remember to rub gently, however.

I wouldn't use Lestoil on silk, it is too harsh. I'd just sponge the area with white vinegar. If there was cream in the coffee, maybe add a drop of detergent. Keep sponging and blotting until the stain is gone. Then launder as usual.
